Starting out on your own doesn’t have to be an intimidating experience. The London Jewellery School has designed a course directed specifically at beginners looking to take their first steps into running their own jewellery business.

With four days focused on different jewellery making techniques followed by an intensive business skills day, students leave armed with a range of practical skills alongside all the specialist tips and advice they need.

There is an easier way. Learn to make your own jewellery- it’s easier than you think. It is a huge trend that is taking the UK by storm and more and more people are taking jewellery making up as a fun, creative and rewarding hobby and some even as a new career path.

It’s time to try a different approach to creating beautiful Jewellery with

methods to follow honorable courses of action.

This special ethical jewellery class is an intensive one-day session covering

all aspects of ethics in the jewellery trade, from fair-trade to eco-friendly

methods of making, selling and buying jewellery. What are conflict diamonds?

Where to source them and how to judge if they are really ethical. What about

gold and silver? How to source ethical products and keeping up with consumers

demands for ethics in the jewellery trade.

This class is run by Synnove Saelthun, Co-director of the award winning ethical

Hi there!

We have been so so busy these past couple of months! But all good, as we have many new classes that we have brought in!

Some of these include:

Silver Jewellery classes, for beginners and intermediate. It invovles ;- Sawing, Soldering, Annealing, Sanding and polishing. Classes are very small with a maximum of three students allowing close attention from the tutor.

Lampwork Beading; Make your own stunning beads using glass in our lampwork beading class. Some examples of the techniques covered in this class include: - Using the torch and hand tools, shaping beads, Adding frits.

Resin; Resin is a fantastic material to work with particularly in this current climate, as it is very affordable and so versatile. Techniques that will be covered include: Mould Making, Mixing resins from scratch, Adding Colour and Tinting, Designing pieces to make in resin, Adding insertions such as glitter, feathers, charms, and other objects, Sanding, polishing and buffing to give a professional finish.

Plus many more classes and with that many new tutors who are all just so lovely and the best at what they do!

Hello! Just wanted to say that last week was fantastic! We had classes back to back that turned out to be such a success for all who attended and as always a lot of fun! Lots of fabulous jewellery making that the students took home and some got to sell their jewels already!
So far this week has been very busy with private classes everyday plus group classes till the end of the week, with fantastic outcomes, so many talented people!!!

We finally have a blog! Hooray!

We will be regularly posting info up here on what we are up to at London Jewellery School, as well as lots of hits and tips, projects and general jewellery info. So please do check back regularly.

Also just to avoid confusion - as you may have noticed we used to be called Dulwich Jewellery School, but have recently changed our name as we may one day move out of Dulwich and we are open for anyone in London and further a field to come and make lovely jewellery with us. You can still contact us on all the details we have used before. We have changed the name but still offer the same great service!
